About the Kowari Project

Kowari^TM is an open source, massively scalable, transaction safe, purpose-built database for the storage of metadata. Kowari was released under an open source license in January 2004. Tucana Technologies^TM also manufactures the Tucana Knowledge Server^TM (TKS^TM), a feature rich enterprise-class commercial product based partially on Kowari.
